Bad Blogger

Yep, that would be me.  I'm sure that I could provide a million reasons as to why I've been MIA.  In fact, if I had been writing about these adventures as they occurred, hell, I might even have a real blog hunh?  But au contraire my friends.  I haven't even had time to pick my nose.  The most I get around to doing online these days is checking my facebook, and most of the time that's from my blackberry.

Anyway, I'll give you a brief summary.

I can't recall whether I've ever come outright and said it on the blog, but I'm a foster parent.  Oh, and did I tell y'all that I already have 3 kids?  Ah hunh.  Yep.  Okay, back to the foster kids.  So yeah, we recently welcomed a new boy into our home, and boy oh boy do we have our hands full!!!

Let's just say that with each new intake appointment and reassessment we attend with him, we're finding a pandoras box of issues that the previous doctor/ psych missed :s  Not fun...  I mean, we know it's a part of the gig and he needs these things to be done, but geeesh!  Whycome the previous parties involved in his care missed all'o'dis??? 

So yeah, between preparing the discharge reports and wrapping up the files for the one that's leaving us, and getting this new boy settled, and oh yeah, Christmas....  Well, yeah, I'm just about wasted away.

Oh, and did I tell you my mom's nurse quit?  And did I tell you my mom lives 45 minutes to 1 hour drive away?  And did I tell you that I've basically assumed the role of her nurse, in addition to running her errands and her shopping, while trying to keep my household together??? 

Somebody please...  Throw me a lifeline...
